TVF in the press 

TVF and its Pay to Work principle have been gaining exposure with a number of journalists and publications in the UK. Members of TVF’s Trustee Board, Management Team and Sponsors have been interviewed and written about by UK Press Agencies. Similarly, True Volunteers from the following departments have also been written about in the UK Press – Marketing, Partnership, Micro-Finance, Corporate Fundraising, Events and Design.

Journalist Interest Areas

TVF’s PR Team have met a number of journalists this year. They are mainly interested in how Pay to Work is capitalising on a number of macro socio, economic and political trends. The areas of interest have included:

  • The rise in Students, Migrant workers and the unemployed means the ability to gain “on the job” experience is difficult
  • Corporate Sector faces pressure to have a Corporate Social Responsibility strategy
  • Public realise they need to individually ‘give something back’
  • David Cameron’s Big Society message and TVF as a platform to achieve this
  • Comprehensive Spending Review – The Third Sector facing £6bn in cuts meaning small charities need support
  • The proliferation of technology enables a new type of volunteering
