Following the building of 12 nursery schools in Sri-Lanka, TVF’s attention was focused on sustainability and long term development. Each school only has basic materials and teachers need to be acquainted with new teaching resources. A teacher training centre, built in Seedwa near Negombo has supported this process.

In Seeduwa, teachers will learn by “hands on” creative activities (painting, making masks, puppets, collage and drama). They are given a “resource pack” with the relevant materials that correspond to the activities they have learned, which they take back to their nursery school.
