Changing Lives. Inspiring Action.

Ghanaian Football Academy

A football academy promoting sport and education has been established by Right to Dream, a U.K. charity partner.

The benefits of such an academy will be immense for Africa. On a continent where opportunity for the underprivileged is limited, not only would those accepted gain the opportunity of a lifetime, but thousands of other children will aspire to gain admission every year, providing purpose, a reason to better one’s self and a right to dream.

The underprivileged children selected for the school share a history of an unstable and inconsistent family life with the consequent limited emotional and social development. The Right to Dream charity fund students with a five-year 100% scholarship aimed at providing stability and predictability in their lives. This provides the assurance that they will be able to complete their education no matter what happens in their development as footballers. The aim of this project is to fund the required educational materials at the Football Academy to ensure that each child’s focus is a sound mixture of sport and formalised education.
